Ni & Cu-Ni Alloys

DESCRIPTION

Alloy 400 (Monel) – is nickel-copper alloy with excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of corrosive media and is widely used in marine and chemical industries.

It is characterized by excellent corrosion resistance in many alkaline media and sea water, excellent strength even at low application temperatures, easy processing compared to other high-alloy materials, good resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting. Can be also used in contact with highly diluted mineral acids, such as sulfuric and hydrochloric acid, provided that they are not ventilated.

Alloy 400 is used for springs, valves, pumps, propeller shafts, electrical and electronic components, as wire mesh and filters for chemical and pertrochemical industry, for sour-gas resistant components for oil and gas production, etc.
